Selection Process and Awards

RayMar Art invites top art professionals (artists, gallery owners/directors, editors/publishers of national art magazines) to judge our contest. 

Each monthly juror selects and critiques 12 finalist paintings, including a Best of Show.  Monthly Best of Show will receive a $200 RayMar Art Merchandise Award.

No limit to number of months an artist may win Monthly Best of Show.  A painting designated "Best of Show" by a monthly judge will be reviewed with equal merit by the Juror of Awards in the grand prize competition. 

The 12 finalists from each month (144 total) will be entered into the grand prize competition. The Juror of Awards will select and critique the 12 prize winning paintings and award the following cash prizes:

Grand Prize - $10,000 

Second Prize - $5,000

Third Prize - $2,500

Nine Finalists (Honorable Mention) - $1,000 each
