Rules

7th Annual 2013-2014 Contest Details:  

 

Contest fees:

$30  - One time registration fee registers you for the duration of the contest (Contest ends January 31, 2014).  If an artist registers in February 2013, they can enter each of the 12 monthly contests judged by 12 different jurors.  We suggest you register and enter early in the competition for the opportunity to have more paintings selected as finalists by monthly judges.   

$10 - For each painting submitted  (This charge is completely separate from the $30 Registration)

 The registration and entry fees contribute to RayMar’s ability to offer some of the highest cash prizes in the art community, almost $29,000 in cash and awards.

 

Specifications for painting entries:
• Our contest is online so DIGITAL SUBMISSIONS ONLY please – suggested minimum of 600 pixels on the longest side for the judge to discern details

 
• ENTRIES ACCEPTED ON ANY SUPPORT – DOES NOT HAVE TO BE ON A RAYMAR PANEL

 
• OIL OR ACRYLIC PAINTINGS ONLY


• Any size accepted


• Any subject matter accepted

 

• We accept US and International entries.


• No limit on number of paintings submitted each month


• The same painting may be entered in a different month to try your luck with another juror, unless it has already been selected as a monthly finalist.

 
• You may enter paintings that have won in other shows and paintings that have been sold.


• Your signature must appear in your photograph.


• 11:59:59 pm (Central Time) on the last day of the month is the contest deadline.  *Please note, if the last day of the month is a Friday, Saturday or Sunday, we may not be available for tech support or other assistance until the following Monday.  This may mean that your entry will not be eligible for entry in that month. 

 

• To enter and enable us to properly track your participation we ask each artist to create an account and password (through FASO) with our step by step online website registration.

 

Additional Information:

Artists must be 18 years of age to enter and accept cash prizes.

Paintings submitted must be artist's original work.  If your painting infringes upon another's copyright, it will be disqualified.

We reserve the right to request proof that the artwork was created solely by the artist who entered the painting.

Cash prizes are considered taxable and winners will receive a 1099-MISC.

By entering our competition, you grant us a non-exclusive perpetual license to reproduce images of your artwork. That enables us to showcase your artwork on our website, in our newsletters, and in national magazine ads.

We cannot remove posted entries after they have been judged.

You do not need to provide the physical painting, so there will be no chance of loss or damage from shipping.
