Judge's Comments:Living in Jackson and Scottsdale, I very rarely get the occasion to experience a scene like this. This painting evokes what I would hope to see and feel. I enjoy the subtle transitions from water below, to the hills behind, to the sky above. The boats add to the harmony of the piece with their balance and simple complexity. - Scott Jones
