Judge's Comments: I break this piece down into three areas the water in the foreground, the glacial moraine in the middle, and the peaks above. They work very well together. The mid-section has great colors and great light. It is one of my favorite features of looking at the Tetons, and this painting does a great job of accentuating that portion of the landscape. Most Teton paintings are always focused on the peaks. I like the fact that this one is a little subtler in that area giving emphasis to the other areas of the painting. - Scott Jones
