Judge's Comments:It’s brave to turn away from the object in your sight to its reflection, and yet isn’t that what all art is about—moving past the physicality of the subject to an abstract interpretation of the form? Here the ripples of the water convey a sense of the water’s swirling current and give the building in its reflection an abstracted form. The colors are simple but appealing.
