Judge's Comments:Portraiture is very difficult to really capture the human spirit. Lynn's portrait really shows the character and spirit of her sitter and I was really drawn to what she has put into this painting. The sitter's right eye has so much life in it and it really pulls me into the painting. I see very strong value control in this painting which is something everyone should strive for. I see a lot of influence of 19th century artistry here but I also see Lynn come through it as well. - Tony Pro
