Judge's Comments: This looks like a Pre-Raphelite painting. The background is incredible. Look at it closely. It is thinly veiled, like a stained-glass or even a Victorian vase. It even has the appearance of some forgotten garden, an overgrown and secret place. Then, all of this is contrasted with the pink of the dress and the fold of the fabric. I love the soft light on the shoulders and the face and the way the colors of the forest appear ever-so slightly in these places as well. She seems lost in thought, or wrapped up in the moment, with Harrington truly capturing a moment of intimacy. It takes several close looks to even move past all of this to the delicate intricacies of the patterning of fabric in her hand. So beautifully done. - Joshua Rose
