Judge's Comments: This one struck me instantly. It’s such a pleasing, balanced composition, but at the same time contains a ton of anticipation of movement, as if the cat could jump out of the painting at any moment. The values are lovely – it really works with the backlight and the lit up whiskers. Lovely!
