Judge's Comments: The simple but lovely abstraction in “Causeway” presents a beautiful mosaic of color and shape. The color harmony is truly pleasing. I like the solidity of the square format to anchor the joyful energy in this little painting. The unabashed brushwork creates a surface excitement. Tiny canvas, big impact. - Chris Saper
